One of kids favourite foods, sausage. Sigh. I know.
Store version sausages are one of the most dangerous foods.
You never know what kind of meat is inside, and Turkish ones have additional starch and additives like sodium nitrite and MSG inside them.
My daughter, of course, like most kids, can eat sausages every day, and at every meal.
So I have no choice but to make it at home. Thanks to the Holistik Saglik ve Beslenme Terapisi facebook page, I finally am able to make it at home. With some small alterations of course.
There is no sausage like home made sausage really, and those are absolutely yummy!
Ingredients:
500 gr ground meat (free pastured chicken)
3 tblspn home made regular yoghurt
2 tblspn home made tomato paste
1 tspn baking soda
1 grated garlic clove
1 tspn rock salt
1 pinch black pepper
500 gr ground meat (free pastured chicken)
3 tblspn home made regular yoghurt
2 tblspn home made tomato paste
1 tspn baking soda
1 grated garlic clove
1 tspn rock salt
1 pinch black pepper
Instructions:
1-Pulse all ingredients in a food processor and make a fine sticky paste.
2-Take some and roll firmly inside a parchment paper or stretch film to give it the shape of a sausage, then put in the freezer. Wait for at least 4 hours.
3-Boil water, add sausages inside and cook for 4-5 minutes so that the meat firms up.
4-Now you can grill your amazing sausages! Don’t forget to try this recipe with some homemade ketchup 🙂
