These cookies are raw, delicious and Bade approved. I have used %100 Giresun hazelnut paste of Bizim Yayladan, but it’s really easy to make your own at home.  All you need is a food processor or a coffee grinder.
I am staying at my Mom’s for a few weeks now and it’s been delightful to take food photographs in her kitchen filled with morning sunshine. It has become a habit of mine to take photos with actual sun instead of artificial light.
Would you believe me if I said the hazelnut paste I used in this recipe came from one the best corners of the world, the home of the best hazelnuts, Giresun, Turkey.
Giresun is part of Karadeniz, The Black Sea region of Turkey.
As you know, I am very much interested in the history of food. The stories and history of the things we eat and the fruits and nuts I use in my recipes very much captivate me.
